Fooda made Entrepreneur’s Top Company Culture list, ranked one of the top 3 Chicago-based companies.
A strong culture takes more than just a cool office with delicious food and nice coworkers (although, we do have all that).
“Culture isn’t something a company can buy, and it doesn’t happen by accident. At Fooda, we’ve built and maintained a culture that’s driven by our company’s eight core values. Fooda’s people value is at the forefront.” – Emily Karottki, Fooda’s VP of People
Fooda makes sure employees get what they need out of their work. Here are just a few things we do differently to maintain a great company culture:
We’re open
Fooda holds weekly full-team meetings where a different department updates the company on what’s new in their world. Eachquarter, our CEO gives the company an update on Fooda’s overall performance, sharing the same deck presented at that quarter’s board meeting.
We invest in our employees’ careers
Fooda fosters employee growth by giving opportunities to lead projects, providing a budget for learning and development, conducting management training courses, and more.
We share goals
Companywide we have shared goals, but each team still has autonomy to make decisions about the projects they own. Fooda has built a collaborative environment focused on results.
How’d we make the list? Fooda employees anonymously took an online survey conducted by Entrepreneur magazine. Judges reviewed the results to select the winning company cultures. The survey covered matters such as connection, alignment, effectiveness, leadership and management, as well as basics such as pay, benefits and flexibility.
The short version: People love working here
Fooda is always looking for talented colleagues who want to advance their careers and help scale a business. We all share an interest in solving problems with data, taking chances, beating goals, and delighting customers. Our team’s successful execution of those interests has driven expansion to over a dozen markets since our founding in 2011.
