Why do we love food at work?
We love food. Here's Why
Food can be the special reward that gets you through a busy week, nourishment for an individual lifestyle, something comforting that evokes childhood memories, or an opportunity to travel somewhere else in the world with your tastebuds. Meals mean different things to different people at different times and, our tastes are deeply personal. But there's a common thread for all of us – really good food makes us happy.
We live by four guiding beliefs whenever we think about good food
At Fooda, we scour the streets for the best food trucks, trendy restaurants, hidden gem mom and pops, popular favorites, and dedicated caterers. Making the connection between them and people who appreciate their food is our passion.
Variety
lets us look forward to something different. For a lot of us, it's what keeps lunch exciting
Quality

Authenticity
comes from chefs who create dishes influenced by their own personal stories and experiences
Healthy
options give us the fuel we need to accomplish the lifestyle goals we care about. It should be within reach when you want it, even when you're at work
Chef Spotlight
Fooda partners with fantastic local chefs and catering businesses. A small handful are highlighted here.
Chef Sky
In 1992 Barbara “Sky” Burrell left the corporate world to open Sky’s Gourmet Tacos. Her vision was to serve Mexican food with a splash of soul. After 27 years, countless awards, and an appearance on the Food Network’s “The Great Food Truck Race,” Sky’s is still going strong. Fan favorites include carnitas, grilled chicken, and boneless rib tacos, but there are meatless options too. In fact, Sky’s takes great care with vegan and vegetarian dishes, keeping ingredients separate in the kitchen and using an entirely different grill to prepare them. If you’ve got a sweet tooth, don’t forget her famous cheesecake; it comes in a variety of flavors including mango and pineapple.
Chef Franco
Chef Franco studied at Le Cordon Bleu and New York’s International Culinary Center. As the owner of Baby Brasa Organic, Chef Franco is famous for his rotisserie chicken that’s marinated for 24 hours in a unique blend of Peruvian spices. He also features simple sides and starters including yuca fries, which are best consumed with a spicy yellow Huancaina dipping sauce, and mango salad with arugula, cucumber, sesame seeds, avocado, and ginger miso dressing. Fun fact - Chef Franco moonlights as an underwear model! Many of his dishes here have a health-conscious bent and he draws upon his own eating habits when designing the menu.
Chef Niki
Chef Niki grew up in Thailand learning to cook alongside her mother. There she learned the importance of working with fresh, seasonal ingredients. At 26 Thai Kitchen, she and her team prepare MSG-free and authentic Thai curries and noodle dishes from scratch. Lunch made by Chef Niki is always a Fooda favorite.
